How does she do it all? Know anyone who is a jet setter, savvy dresser and constantly up to something? While also being a full time mom?! Lentina (@lentina_constance) is one person that comes to mind instantly. A beautiful person – inside and out, and one of the most hard working people you would come across.
Hi I’m Lentina, a thirty one year old mummy (well 32 in a month!). Ex super yacht stewardess. Currently working part time managing flats for Airbnb.
Moved from India to England to Italy and finally settled in the beautiful city of Nice, France. Lives with my hardworking husband and our two beautiful boys, few pairs of shoes and far too many clothes! We love it here. Utter obsession with shopping (but has sobered down a lot since I’ve had kids). I snap everything from fashion and food to Nice and cities across the French Riviera.
WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY IN THE LIFE OF LENTINA LOOK LIKE?
As with all mums with active children, the set up of my day is primarily dictated by the children’s activities that they have on any given day. There are however some fairly static and routine parts to my day and a typical day (if there is such a thing) – it looks something like this:
Wake up around 7:30 and have like half an hour to myself (before my cheeky monkeys wake up) and that’s when I just sip on my chai and stuff my face with some croissant and do not move from the sofa. When the boys are up, I make them breakfast with either Toy Story or Moana on the telly (this has been happening for over however long as I can remember!). Well, like I mentioned earlier, my day actually revolves around my two boys. And when I do have to go to work, they tag along too!
HOW DO YOU MANAGE YOUR BEAUTY ROUTINE? WHAT’S IT LIKE?
For the longest time, I didn’t really see the need to purchase “actual” skincare (basically stuff that’s not moisturizer or makeup remover). I’ve never really had any issues with my skin, it’s dry-ish and sensitive-ish (neither so much that it gets in the way of me living my irresponsible life of eating whatever I want!). I never really break out much either. I thank genetics.
- “Recently, I began to suffer from this condition – then thinking it was just an allergy to something, until I found out it was Perioral Dermatitis. Long story short, when you get PD you’re not supposed to use any cosmetic product that has SLS/SLES, that’ll include the type of shampoo, face wash, body wash that you use, no fluoride in toothpaste etc. So it was a mission for me to find something for my whole body with no SLS/SLES in them. Until I found Elave Skincare”
Their promise of absolute purity means no sulfates SLES/SLS, no parabens, no perfume, no formaldehyde, no methylisothiazolinone (MI), no alcohol, no soap, no colours & more. Gosh! Heaven sent!
Before Elave, I tried Bioderma, Avène, and numerous other natural remedies. But Elave was the holy grail! Love all their products that I’ve laid my hands on but the cleanser is so nice and mild, it kind of wraps you in to the softness of the product. It is a real treat.
A BEAUTY TIP/ROUTINE THAT HAS ALWAYS WORKED FOR YOU
I religiously follow Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish hot cloth cleanser. I massage it onto my dry skin over face and neck. Rinse the pure muslin cloth in hot water and wring out before gently polishing off the creamy cleanser. It’s amazing! In the morning it just gives your face the freshness you need for the day and at night it takes off all stubborn make up and even mascara! And makes your face all clean.
ONE PRODUCT THAT YOU CANNOT DO WITHOUT
One beauty product I cannot do without would be Benefit’s Benetint! I haven’t stopped using it since I first laid my hands on them – like 10 years ago!
I love the saying, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” It’s never been truer! Because we all have different opinions of what beauty is. For me, true beauty is all about personality and what consist on the inside, and the outer appearance is like a bonus!
