Truth be told, flying these days in one of those run-of-the-mill travel outfits have become so passé! Airports are all of a sudden the new fashion runway- thanks to the new league of A-listers and fashion bloggers who have upped their travel outfits to fit in both comfort and style. Although the idea to look good while getting to your flight on time may make you a bit overwhelmed, it can actually be fairly simple! For the long journey ahead, it’s essential to wear something that’s comfy and that resonates with the objective of our trip.
To aid our mission, here’s our fashionable jet-setter friend, 21-year-old Sagarika Sen (@sagarika_sen) giving us all the deets on how to step up your travel style game. Sagarika loves traveling and she likes to do so in style. Here’s how she likes to style herself for all of her trips.

A go-to airport look should be comfortable and chic, at the same time. You need to keep in mind the weather of your destination so that you know exactly what stuff to carry.
Personally, I wear my slip on sketchers which are not only comfortable for a long journey but are cute and warm. I make it a point to carry my leather jacket as a multi-purpose layer. If I’m off to a chilly destination, I make it a point to carry a scarf in my cabin baggage. I like to pair my scarves with jeggings and a simple top, a no-fuss outfit that I don’t have to worry about too much. For warmer places, there’s no point in wearing heavy clothing. Easy-breezy staples are my go-to when the weather turns hot and humid! Palazzos are great summer wear.
So, I find it necessary to be informed about the weather conditions way before I pack my stuff. It helps me to carry all the essentials for both chilly and sultry temps.
Traveling light is always preferable to me! I hate to carry anything heavy or bulky such as an overcoat or even boots. Although they are stylish and warm pieces of clothing, it’s just cumbersome, especially when you need to pass through airport security or even stow them away on a flight.
In accessories, I like to carry my fav chunky pieces of jewelry to add a bit sparkle to my outfits. Another essential item that I always carry while traveling is my handbag containing my wallet, medicines, sanitizer, sunglasses and of course, my travel documents.
