Forty-Eight blissfully lazy hours aren’t the only good things about the weekend! What are weekends for, if you don’t laze around in your jammies, binge-watch series or read books? But alas, there are errands to take care of and meeting friends is also on the books!
But number one on our TGIW (Thank God It’s Weekend) list is being able to wear all the comfy, laidback clothes that are off limits Monday through Friday-because we ain’t sweating it out like we are ready to walk the runway on a weekend! To make the most of our weekend wardrobe, we got in touch with our fam to tell us how they style themselves for a lazy day out.

“I always prefer wearing full-sleeve, loose clothing over denim. My go-to outfit is a breathable natural dyed khadi dress designed by us for one of our initial collections. I’m also very lazy when it comes to waxing etc, so a lot of times I end up pairing it with a pair of white cotton pyjamas. On days when I hate to wear colours, my go-to is a white organic cotton full sleeve shirt with pyjamas. If I’ve to choose anything ethnic, my go-to would be a saree or a lehenga, usually of a length that can be easily worn with flats.”

“I’m not a hard-&-fast follower of trends, but my fashion ‘Flavor of the Moment’ keeps changing as per seasons and moods. My staple accessories are head scarves, sunglasses, flower crowns or a choker. Whenever I have to be on the move or go out for a casual do, I throw on a nice comfortable sports pants/tights and add a light bomber jacket or leather jacket over a turtleneck. I like wearing turtlenecks and many of these are in wool, knit cotton, and even jersey. In case, I run out of outfit ideas, I simply put on any of my super versatile Péro outfits and I’m ready to face the world!”

“I’m huge on neutral hues and basic pieces! I love easy clothing items like a pair of basic black or white top with blue jeans. Such items can be easily worn with other pieces. I’m a huge fan of mixing textures as well like a structured, checkered blazer for a refined look. I don’t like overdoing any look by adding in too many accessories. I love to look and feel effortless- just like throwing on an outfit without a lot of planning.”

“On days, when I don’t feel like dressing up or when I am in a hurry, I stick to wardrobe essentials. Black leggings always work wonders on such days. For a laidback look, I like to pair it with a basic white top and black leather sandal along with a black sling bag. Finish your look with some red lips as it definitely doesn’t hurt to add that extra bit of oomph!”

“I’m an unfussy dresser so I think dressing well doesn’t have to take a lot of effort. I’m in favour of ‘casual cool’ outfits as such looks are the easiest to rock. On days when I can’t find anything to wear out, I just hunt down a pair of jeans and tees and throw my favourite bomber jacket to finish the look.”

“For me dressing cool simply means looking and feeling relaxed, casual, and confident. I usually pick outfits depending on my comfort level, regardless of how many times I may have worn it. Like a basic, easy-to-carry sweater, paired with a relaxed cotton pant and comfy sneakers.”
